FC Stage Sets Available

Our Media and Worship teams frequently receive questions from other churches about how to build worship stage sets similar to the ones we use at Fellowship Church. This week we have an easy answer. Take ours!

We’re in the process of changing our worship stage set and would like to make it available to another church. The set shown in these pictures will soon be ready for shipping, so make us an offer (to help with tear down and storage costs), and you’ll be the new owner of a professionally designed stage set – with plenty of time to get it installed for a fall kickoff! All transportation arrangements will be the responsibility of the recipient. Interested? Send an email to Kristen within the next day or two.

Podcast > Beyond the Bleachers

Playing any sport effectively takes more than a fancy playbook or complex game plan; it takes more than a good theory or well thought-out hypothesis. To play effectively, you need players who are willing to get in the middle of the action and play. The same is true when it comes to the Christian life. God never called us to sit in the bleachers and merely observe the action.

In Matthew 28:19 Jesus commanded his followers to “Go…” In other words Jesus was saying, “Get out of the stands and play the game.” And in this message, Ed Young challenges and encourages us to discover the power and fulfillment that come when we decide to live beyond the bleachers.

Today we mourn the sudden loss of a fellow church leader, Rev. Jerry Falwell. Tireless in his roles as a pastor, communicator, author and educator, Dr. Falwell poured himself into a life of service. Our prayers go out to his family, church and Liberty University.

Divorce Shockers and Blockers

A Chicago attorney made national news this week with the debut of a billboard featuring images of two scantily clad torsos and the words, "Life's short. Get a divorce." And while many in mainstream America will find that kind of media stunt offensive and over-the-top, the shocking reality is that half of all marriages end in divorce. It's hard to imagine a louder rally cry for the relational revolution needed in our communities. Instead of condemning our culture, we need to contribute to the healing and stregthening  of marriages and families within our reach.

Over the past two weeks of the Doors series, Ed  has been digging deep into the topic of divorce. Last weekend's message included a 20-minute segment with a Christian family therapist, which outlined four predictors of divorce and what we can do to turn those around. Ed is a huge proponent of Christian counseling (for couples and individuals), and interviews like these are a great opportunity to not only bring in an expert opinion, but also provide a non-threatening taste of what the experience is like.

In conjunction with these messages, we've recently rolled out the Creative Covenant Marriage Agreement. Part legal document and part marriage playbook, the C2 package  equips couples with a game plan - an intentional strategy for building, maintaining and protecting a healthy, joy-filled marriage. The goal of this resource is to highlight the covenant commitment of marriage and offer couples strategies to protect and strengthen their relationship.
